Domain and SSL Configuration Manual



Step 1: DNS Records Update
  1. Access your domain provider (e.g., GoDaddy, Namecheap, etc.).
  2. Locate the DNS management option. It is usually found in the settings section of the domain you wish to link.
  3. Add the DNS record:
    • CNAME record: web.fideltour.com
Step 2: DNS Propagation
  1. Verify that the changes have propagated. This may take from a few minutes to up to 48 hours, depending on the DNS settings and provider.
  2. You can use online tools like DNS Checker to verify the propagation of your DNS records.
Step 3: SSL Certificate Issuance
  1. Wait for full DNS propagation. Once confirmed, Fideltour will automatically issue an SSL certificate to secure your domain.
     Note: The SSL issuance process may take up to an additional 24 hours.
  2. Check that the SSL certificate is active. You can do this by accessing the domain and confirming that the site is reachable via HTTPS make sure any security warnings is popping-up
Step 4: Domain Selection in Fideltour
  1. Once the domain and SSL certificate are fully active, the domain will appear as enabled in the Fideltour settings panel.
  2. Select the domain when creating your landings or campaigns within Fideltour.

Example Configuration with landing.tuhotel.com
Step 1: DNS Records Update for landing.tuhotel.com
  1. Access your domain provider (e.g., GoDaddy, Namecheap, etc.).
  2. Locate the DNS management option in your tuhotel.com domain control panel.
  3. Add the necessary DNS records:
    • CNAME record:
      • Host: landing
      • Type: CNAME
      • Value: web.fideltour.com
Step 2: DNS Propagation
  1. Once the changes are made, verify propagation using a DNS verification tool like DNS Checker.
  2. Enter the domain landing.tuhotel.com and check that the IP has updated correctly across different locations.
Step 3: SSL Certificate Issuance for landing.tuhotel.com
  1. After the DNS has fully propagated, Fideltour will automatically issue the SSL certificate for landing.tuhotel.com.
    • Important: This process may take up to 24 hours after the DNS has been updated.
  2. Verify that the SSL certificate is active. To do this, visit https://landing.tuhotel.com. The browser should display a padlock icon in the address bar, indicating that the site is secure.
Step 4: Domain Selection in Fideltour
  1. When the domain landing.tuhotel.com and SSL certificate are active, the domain will appear as enabled in your Fideltour control panel.
  2. Select the domain when creating your landings or campaigns:
    • When setting up a landing page or campaign within Fideltour, the domain landing.tuhotel.com will be available for you to choose as the URL from which the campaign will be launched or the landing page will be hosted.
