What is the level bonus in the Rewards module?
Summary:
Level bonus allows customers to receive extra points automatically whenever they take an action depending on the level at which they are located. This bonus is calculated as an additional percentage on the basis points.
How does it work?
Each level of the loyalty programme may be assigned a percentage bonus.
When a customer takes action that grants points (e.g. a reservation, survey, etc.), the system applies automatically that bonus depending on the level at which the customer is located at that time.
Example:
Action: Book worth 100 base points.
Customer at Silver level (no bonus): Receives 100 points.
Customer at Gold level (10% bonus): receives 110 points.
Client at Platinum level (25% bonus): receives 125 points.
The bonus is defined in the Rewards module under the levels.
Each level may have a different bonus. This is expressed as a percentage (%), positive or negative.
When does it apply?
The bonus applies whenever points are given to the customer, not just when levelling up.
This allows customers at higher levels accumulate points faster automatically.
Benefits of this functionality
Encourage loyalty by rewarding those who reach higher levels.
Simplify promotions without changing the general logic of the system.
Increases differentiation between levels without changing the customer's actions.
Considerations
The bonus does not change the base amount of points allocated to each action.
This is a dynamic adjustment that the system automatically calculates when granting points.
