How is the campaign editor used?


Where do we start?

Campaign editor works

We should go to the Campaigns module and the template menu. We select "+ Template". We will find four different options

  1. Layoutsexamples of templates which can be selected and customized at their own taste.
  2. Community: there are templates that have shared other accounts/hotels or which Fideltour has uploaded.
  3. My Templatesthe templates you have previously created.
  4. My campaignsthe templates you used in previous campaigns.




Once selected a template in the Layout option, the campaign editor will be open. This editor is based on a drag&drop configuration that refers to selecting and dragging the content into the blank sheet.




As we can see, on the right side we have at our disposal a menu with the different options that we can add to our design. To start creating the design, we have to select the structure or in this case rows (Rows), what we wish to add and drag them into the corresponding place within the blank sheet.




What we cannot miss on our template

1) At the beginning of our design we must have the option of viewing the campaign from a landing page if it is not correctly seen in mailing. Dynamic tag: [VIEW_ONLINE_LINK]


2) At the footer of the template we must provide the "unsuscribe option", so our contacts/customers can make their decision about if they want to continue receiving or not by clicking on a link or phrase using the dynamic tag:  [UNSUBSCRIBE_LINK]

*the use of these two dynamics tags are valid only for real sendings and not for test sendings*


3) Our GDPR must also appear at the footer of the communication. Dynamic tag: [HOTEL_CHAIN_RGPD]  (Company GDPR) or [LOCATION_RGPD](Hotel GDPR).


4) Images must have an alternative URL when they don't load.



(5) It is advised that the area of content should not exceed the 600px for a correct display of the design once received.



Content

When we have our rows in the design sheet, we will proceed to add the content. In the menu, you can see that different options are available in the content section. We offer text, images, buttons, separators, social media, HTML code in case you want to add your own campaign, video with YouTube or Vimeo URLs and icons.























Content - Text:

When we drag the text content into the row, we will click on the block to add the desired text and be able to customize it to our own taste. We can change the font type, size, add URLS and custom content. Custom content refers to automatic tags which, when sending a real campaign, these tags are self-filled with the information we have about our Fideltour account and the information provided by our customers.


In content properties we will be able to change the text color and links that have been added. We can also move/allign our text position by clicking on more options.



In "Merge tags" we find all dynamic tags that can be used.





In each row we have the option to delete both the row and its content using the trash can icon. We can also duplicate this structure with the double box shown below and move with the cross icon.



Content - Image:

To add an image, we simply drag the content "image" in the row we want to place. If we want to add an image we should click on the "Browse" buttom which, will open the file manager so we can proceed to open the file clicking on my "My files" option. At the top we have the option to upload and/or import an image from our computer or search for free photos. Remember that Fideltour provides three free image banks to use for our customers.




Also, we are able to sort our images by adding folders and adding names to them. Once the folder is added, we can access to it and store our photos so we can use them later. We can delete it by clicking on it and clicking the X button.



Content - Button:

To add a button, we will drag the button into the desired row. Once positioned, by clicking on the button we will be able to change the color, width of it and the text within the button. In the menu on the right side, it offers us the different options to add, we will be able to add URLS, email address, phone number and even SMS to that same button. By always clicking on more options, we will be able to mold our button to our own taste.



Content - Separator:

The separator is useful for different ways of designing our campaign or to separate some context in design. This separator can be wider, you can change the color, align and even in the part of "Solid"We can make the separator instead of being a solid line, dots or stripes.



Content - Social Media:

If we want to add the social media icons, we will drag social content into the row. From the menu on the right, we can select the layout you want to use.As we can see, in setting the icons we will be able to delete those that we do not want to use in our design or add new icons. In addition, we will be able to change the name we want from our icons, add their URLS and change the position of these icons in our design.











Content - HTML:

HTML content gives us the option of being able to import a template or campaign already created into our platform through the editor. We will drag our HTML content into the row we want and by clicking on it, add the HTML code of your own campaign. Once added, the editor will read the code and show his own campaign in the editor. It can be edited through the HTML code itself.



Content - Video:

In order to add a video it is important to have uploaded this video to YouTube or Vimeo. We will drag Video content into the design structure and clicking, the URL video field will appear where we will insert the URL of our YouTube or Vimeo video.



Row colors and/or content and background images:

In addition to being able to add content to our ranks, we can add a color to both the row and the content inside. If we do not want to add background color to the row, we can add the option to insert a background image that we have available on our computer or on the available image banks. When a row background image is inserted, it can be repeated, i.e. repeat the design several times within the same row, the image can be centered or even added as a full background throughout the row.




Preview

Before sending the campaign to our customers, we have the option to view the message on desktop or mobile phone. Bear in mind that depending on the type of mobile the customer have, the design may look different. In order to visualize our campaign using these different options, we have to click on the "Preview" at the top right of our editor's menu. We can also preview the campaign in "dark mode".




Also, we have a test sendind button represented by an envelope icon next to the preview button. This icon allows to send a test sending to our email or other internal emails so we can visualize the designof the template before making the final sending.


To send a test email, we click on the "test submission" button and we add the email we want to use for this test we can also add more emails by clicking on the "+" icon the right side. Once added, we will select the email box, add the subject of our test email and click on the send option.





Template Management

Once our template has been created by clicking on the name of each template, we can check the configuration of it, as well as edit or preview it.


Through the configuration option, we can use tags for the templates and then we can search for them by the tag name we assigned, by language or by type of template (check in, check out, etc.) or hotel.



Next to the name of the templates we have several icons. The first icon is for editing, the second one is to preview, the third one is to duplicate the template. The fourth icon is to publish the template in the Community section and at the end, we have trash can icon.
